The chapel is attached to the parish of Notre- Dame-d'Auteuil. It is the very active religious center of the Portuguese and Filipino Catholic communities in the district. It was built by the architect Paul Hulot in Burgundy brick on a cement frame. The first stone was laid in 1936 and the chapel was consecrated in November 1937. The interior makes it look like an upturned boat hull: a row of 'frames' embellished with ochre- coloured bricks scans the nave. In fact, the nave lives on the contrast between the white and the ochre of the bricks. Its modern appearance is further highlighted by a beautiful glass roof dedicated to the Virgin above the façade. All the stained glass windows of the chapel are the work of the artist Mauméjean. Let us add that the respectable size of this sanctuary could make it a real church. Source
This organ of P.M. Koenig was originally the choir organ of Notre-Dame d’Auteuil, in two separate buffets of square shape with the watch on the front. It was transferred to the chapel in 1962/63.
